Panasonic Cares

Panasonic Canada recognizes it is our responsibility as a good coporate citizen to help strengthen the communities in which we live and work.

A Basic Business Philosophy Beginning with Contribution to Society

From its inception Panasonic has been a purpose-driven company. Our founder, Konosuke Matsushita, knew over 100 years ago, that at the core of every successful institution is a giving heart. Mr. Matsushita's business philosophy sparked a legacy of fundamental principles that begin with “Contribution to Society” and end with "Gratitude." We are confident that in some small way, our CSR efforts, in conjunction with the corporation's overall business and diversity goals and objectives, have made a difference in the lives of those we have touched and that making a difference will continue to be synonymous with the Panasonic brand.

Committed to supporting communities we serve, locally and nationally

Our local and national mission is not only an extension of our core principles but also our dedication to supporting efforts that advance educational excellence. Panasonic Cares, an employee lead committee, is devoted to employee volunteerism, corporate outreach initiatives, and using our technology for positive change.

Moving forward to create a better community

Eden Food for Change 2023

Panasonic Canada recently had the pleasure of volunteering with Eden Food for Change at their Group Kitchen event. Our volunteers participated in an exciting team-building experience that allowed us to work together and learn some professional kitchen skills under the guidance of Chef Chris.

During the event, we made delicious perogies, which were then portioned and donated to Eden Food for Change programs. The team had a lot of fun and enjoyed learning about all that Eden does to fight hunger in Mississauga.

International women's day - The #EachforEqual initiative

Here at Panasonic we believe everyone deserves a fair chance, regardless of their gender. With this #EachforEqual initiative in mind, employees from all divisions came together to organize a panel on International Women’s Day that highlighted the insights of the women we are fortunate enough to employ. Over 80 employees joined in person and remotely to hear first-hand from our valued panelists as they explained their experience working for PCI as either a woman or their role in supporting women across the organization. Laughter, honest responses and great dialogue contributed in making this a dynamic and informative event.

Shoebox project for women

Supporting the Shoebox Project for Women is one of the many ways the Panasonic team embodies one of our core values, Contribution to Society. In the lead up to International Women's Day, our team packed over 50 boxes full of health and beauty products, which were sent to women at-risk of homelessness in the local community. Here at Panasonic we believe everyone should have the ability to put their best foot forward and feel valuable, regardless of personal setbacks.
